Who we are

What we collect
- What you send us. Name, phone, email, city, number of dogs, and whatever you write about your dog when you submit a form.
- Basic usage data. Pages viewed, referring site, approximate region, device and browser type — collected through analytics if you accept it.
- Nothing else. We do not ask for payment details on this website, and we do not collect health, biometric, or government ID information.
Why we use it
To reply to your request, schedule and deliver services, keep records of your dog’s care, and improve the site. We contact you about your inquiry. We only add you to marketing messages if you ask us to, and every marketing message includes a one-click unsubscribe.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share the minimum necessary with the service providers who run parts of this business:
- Website hosting and form delivery
- Email delivery and scheduling
- Analytics and advertising measurement, where enabled
- Veterinary or emergency services, if your dog needs care during a stay
- Law enforcement or regulators, where legally required
How long we keep it
Form submissions that do not become clients are deleted after 24 months. Client records are kept for 7 years for tax and liability purposes. Analytics data follows the retention window of the analytics provider, typically 14 months. Ask us to delete your data sooner and we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.
Cookies and local storage
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics and ad measurement. Nothing beyond what is strictly necessary loads until you answer.
- Strictly necessary. We store your cookie choice in your browser’s local storage (key
cn-consent) so we do not ask again. It holds only “accepted” or “declined” and a date, and expires after 180 days. - Analytics and ad measurement — only if you click Accept. We use a Google tag that runs Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement. It sets cookies (for example
_ga,_gcl_au) to count visits, see which pages are useful, and measure whether our Google ads led to an inquiry. Google Ads may also use this to show our ads to people who have visited the site (remarketing). - Enhanced conversions. If you accepted cookies and send us a form, Google’s tag may read the email and phone number you entered, hash them (turn them into an unreadable code) in your browser, and send the hash to Google to match the inquiry to an ad click. Google does not receive the readable details this way.
- Third-party embeds. The map on our contact page is served by Google and may set its own cookies when that page loads. Our fonts are served by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver them.
- Opting out of ad personalisation. Choose “Essential only” below, or manage Google ad settings at adssettings.google.com.
You can change your choice at any time with the link in the footer of every page. Choosing “Essential only” after previously accepting stops analytics immediately.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email k9nationtc@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
How we secure it
This website is served over HTTPS with HSTS, a content security policy, and no server-side database of its own. Form submissions travel encrypted to our form provider and are delivered to a business email account protected by two-factor authentication. We do not store payment card details on this website at any point.
Analytics and advertising
If analytics or advertising measurement is enabled, it loads only after you accept it. Those tools record aggregate behaviour — pages viewed, time on page, referring source — and do not receive your name, email, or phone number from us. We do not upload customer lists for ad targeting.
Text messages
If you give us a mobile number, we may text you about your enquiry, your booking, or your dog during a stay. Those are service messages tied to work you asked us to do. We do not send marketing texts unless you separately opt in, and replying STOP ends them either way.
Photos of your dog
We often photograph dogs during training and boarding. Those images may appear on our website or social channels. If you would rather we did not publish photos of your dog, tell us at intake and we will note it on your file — no explanation needed.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page.
